Dafo Security is part of the Dafo Group and is an independent installer and retailer of security systems. The head office is located in Tyresö, just south of Stockholm, where over 100 people work within the Dafo Group.
Along with Dafo Brand, they are a comprehensive supplier of security and assist companies, housing associations, and apartment buildings with their total protection in both security and fire safety.
As part of their continued growth journey, they are now looking for a Finance Assistant/Administrator who wants to be a central function in close collaboration with management. We at Asta Agency are collaborating with Dafo Security in this recruitment process. The process is conducted through Asta, and you will then be employed directly by Dafo Security.
About the PositionIn the role of Finance Assistant, you will have a central and broad function in a growing company with strong future prospects. Your task will eventually be to take overall responsibility for the company's finances, but also to support other functions to enable growth in the company.
We want you to grow with us; you have high ambitions and enjoy working ad-hoc with what is needed right now. Currently, large parts of the finances are handled by an external accounting firm, but the ambition is to gradually bring the finance function in-house while keeping the firm in the role of auditor and sounding board. During a transition period, you will work closely with the firm to ensure quality and continuity, but you will be the first point of contact for financial and administrative matters, both internally and externally. The role is expected to take on greater responsibility and become the finance manager as the company grows.
Additionally, a broad administrative responsibility is included to facilitate growth in the company. This may involve handling invoice queries, supporting project managers with financial oversight, responding to simpler customer and supplier inquiries, and ensuring that documentation, employee handbook, vehicle policy, and certifications are kept up to date. The role is therefore perfect for you who thrive in a combination of financial and administrative tasks and who enjoy getting things done. You are also expected to contribute improvements for more efficient working methods, routines, and processes.
Responsibilities:
Responsibility for ongoing bookkeeping, monthly financial statements, VAT, budget, and follow-up together with the accounting firm.
Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable, as well as dialogue regarding invoices and documentation.
Identify, drive, and implement improvements in financial processes, systems, and working methods to create a scalable finance function.
Gradually take over financial work from the external accounting firm and liaise with the auditor during year-end closing and audits.
First point of contact for simpler administrative and internal questions, as well as broad administrative support in the organization.
Updating and administration of internal governing documents, policies, certifications, and processes.
You will become part of a close-knit company of eight people, in a culture with high ceilings, a lot of energy, and straightforward communication. You enjoy working broadly and variably but with a foundation in finance. With a pragmatic approach, you focus on getting things done and contribute improvements that strengthen working methods and collaboration as the company continues to grow.
Additionally, you have:
Experience from a broad role in finance and administration.
Knowledge in finance and accounting.
Familiarity with various systems and tools for more efficient processes, as well as strong skills in Excel.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Start: Immediately, considering notice period.
Location: Stockholm, Tyresö.
Extent: Full-time, Mon-Fri 8-17.
Salary: By agreement.
